El Bulli the best restaurant in the World.

El Bulli the small restaurant overlooks the Cala Monjoi bay, in Roses on the Costa Brava in Catalonia, Spain, 2 hours north of Barcelona and has been described as "the most imaginative generator of haute* cuisine on the planet" and does a great deal of work on molecular gastronomy. Molecular gastronomy is a scientific discipline involving the study of physical and chemical processes that occur in cooking. It pertains to the mechanisms behind the transformation of ingredients in cooking and the social, artistic and technical components of culinary and gastronomic phenomena in general (from a scientific point of view).   The restaurant only operates only from April to October the other 6 months the Excecutive Chef Ferran Adria travels all over the world for inspiration for his next season this creates an anticipation  and a surprise for future guests.  The bookings for next year are taken in a single day after the closing of the current season.  It has 42 chefs working in this state of the art kitchen its truly a cross between a food lab and a kitchen.  Check it out...   Elbulli.com
